This may be an online course, but if you have any questions during the course, you can contact us by phone, email, or use our online chat facility on any of our websites. You work through the course videos in order. And now we will give you an overview of what is contained in the course. In the first section, we will look at macronutrients and micronutrients. Macronutrients are proteins, fats and carbohydrates, and micronutrients are vitamins and minerals. Fluids and hydration and dehydration are also covered in the course and the importance of these are explained. One category within the course talks about nutrition and malnutrition. The course talks about nutrition in the elderly, cholesterol, allergic reactions and food poisoning.

In this course, we will also talk about food groups, fruits, vegetables, bread, cereals and starchy foods and milk and dairy. Different diets are covered such as gluten-free foods, healthy diets, IBS diets and diets for people with dementia. These diets are now very common, so it's a good idea to have a clear understanding of different foods required for different people.
